Last week we identified one employee who was tested positive and one resident from the 1st floor. The employee is excluded from work and on quarantine. The resident was sent to the hospital for the evaluation/treatment and cohorting.
With a great relief and joy we welcomed back our first resident who was diagnosed with COVID-19 and now returned to the facility from COVID-19 unit operated by another nursing home. The resident and the whole St. Ann Rest Home’s team are very happy! We pray for other two residents and one employee to recover quickly and come back to us.
We continue following CDC guidelines (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nCoV/hcp/index.html). We meet with staff members on regular basis and review our protocols. We remind each other to continue being disciplined and following infection prevention and control guidelines.
Our last testing was on Monday, October 26th. The results are still pending.
We also would like to share with you the link that would help you to be safe when you go out. CDC website has a variety of tips for daily activities:
